OOOPS!!! I almost forgot to share this month’s Nail Files which is dripping in dark glamour as we end the month with one of the best "holiday's: ever-Halloween. I'm always dressed up (in my head) and visiting the haunted houses (in my head) and even going downtown for the tradition of DC with the running in heels in Adam's Morgan (I've only been once). If you know me, I am NOT one for dark colors because (in my head) they age hands. Growing up seeing woman with burgundy or dark eggplant nails reminded me of cigarettes dangling from their red lips, lol. Nontetheless, I'm always open to testing the shade out here n there hence why you've seen me in chocolate brown's or the one's for this month. My theme n inspo for October's Nail Files comes from a woman I've admired growing up watching. She's always had such campy type humor and gothic glam that would catch my eye in the 80's and our pop culture made her a Hollywood ICON:
Inspired by the one and only Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. With her razor-sharp wit and hauntingly iconic style, Elvira turned spooky into sultry — and that spirit runs through this vampy set. Shades of stormy gray and blood-red meet mirrored accents for a look that’s equal parts mysterious and magnetic. It’s moody (aren't we all), mesmerizing, and a little mischievous — just like the queen herself.

Fun Fack: before she became the face of Halloween, Elvira (aka Cassandra Peterson) was a Las Vegas showgirl (my dream job), proving that even in the shadows, you can still sparkle 💅🏽🖤
Because I am going into my own shutdown mode, I chose the cement gray as a "neutral" yet muted shade and knew I wanted a jewel tone for the POP so while vampy, I wanted to maintain my girlie approach with violet. Once I pick the colors, I let my Nail Stylist, Sharisse do her thing with the left side per usual to translate my creative side via design and VOILA!!

I'll be enjoying this set for the month and crafting up next month's which will be a finale set of sorts. Until then...even when the nights get longer and the vibes turn darker, a well-polished moment never loses its shine. Channel your inner Elvira and let your nails do the haunting — wickedly, of course. 😉✨
