April Nail Files: Turquoise Temptation

For this month, I said no thanks to soft girl spring and went full-on color drama—because why blend in when you can pop off? My April nails are serving turquoise temptation with a side of red because I only wear this shade bout twice a year, lol, and honeychiiiile, they’re turning heads before I even say hello. This fearless combo is a whole attitude: tropical, unapologetic, and just the right amount of spicy. Major love to my nail magician, Sharisse—aka Nail Matrixx—for bringing this bold vision to life at Salon Couture in Forestville, MD. She's the one who came up with the combo and I trust her enough to let her express the creative freedom she sees fit for me.

Now that I'm 3 months into my new job, I feel comfy letting my personality peek out more and to be honest, the culture is a tad more relaxed which gives me leeway. Make no mistakes-I am ALWAYS professional in attire but my nails are tiny joys that make me happy when I look down for a pick me up (oooh was that a double entendre? re-read).

I'm gonna enjoy this playful mix of turquoise cool and hot, confident red—a combo that feels like vacation energy...I'm thinking of a cruise.
