September called for a reset, and so I decided my coffee routine was going to lead the charge. No more hiding out at home as my crutch and using my trusty mug—this month, every cup meant venturing out. I kicked things off properly with my first pumpkin spice latte of the season becuz yes, I'm trying, and wrapped it all up at the end of the month with a coffee date where Toot happily tagged along with me to Commonwealth Joe in Arlington, VA. Was it a breeze throughout these four weekends? Absolutely not. But every sip felt like a tiny victory, and it was just the soul-refresh I needed.

To dip my toe in the water for my first Sip Trip of the month, I kept it close to home and grabbed a Pumpkin Spice Latte (drizzle the cup w/caramel) and the deets of this Style Story can be found here.

For the 2nd weekend of the month; I ventured out and took a spontaneous trip to Mosaic District in Fairfax to Maman after seeing it come up on my TL a few times. Aside from the dainty rustic decor, I did enjoy the signature lavender latte. I am VERY leery of this flavor at coffee spots because it's either too bitter or lacks the floral hint but THIS one...I must say has been my favorite lavender latte I've ever had. That is MAJOR. It was the perfect creamy latte (I always do whole milk) and rich in coffee without losing the true essence of lavender.

Just a heads up..my algorithms is crafting to show me nothing but coffee spots in the DMV and to learn Bakery Museum was only 30 min from me...I couldn't resist the ride. The cafe is such a cute spot and I appreciate the decor. I could've snapped pics all morning but wanted to respect the guest. There's an assortment of pastries n breakfast sandwiches. I got the Iced Tiramisu Latte and a Dubai Chocolate (the trendy flavor) macaroon and Rose. It was so many great choices it was hard to pick so I must go back for some cheesecake.
My Finale Sip Trip of the month was with my favorite and often reoccuring coffee date, lol. I used to stop pass Commonwealth Joe's when I worked nearby and always loved their seasonal menu's. I grabbed the Caramel Churro Latte which was delish. The mocha definitely comes at the end of the sip and the caramel n cinnamon was a splendid pairing.

And just like that, September is signed, sealed, and sipped. I powered through the rut one latte at a time and came out caffeinated and a little sassier for it. But daaaarling, don’t get too comfortable—October is brewing, and I'm bringing out my quirky bag collection with every cup. Get ready for some serious side-eye and style with your steamers, because this fall? We’re serving lewks and lattes✨☕️
