Yesterday’s Sip Trip called for a look that was equal parts bold and breezy. This first of 4 Saturday's this month, I wanted to kick it off to inspire myself to get back into the groove yet acknowledge easing back into society with what I love to do-dress up. I leaned into oversized denim drama with voluminous sleeves, keeping things playful with a peek-a-boo of leopard print shorts underneath. Sleek pointed flats kept the strut polished. I am flirting with the idea of sharing my quirky bag collection so my coffee cup bag made sure to join in on the fun. It’s the kind of outfit that doesn’t whisper—it makes a statement while staying easy enough for a casual coffee run. So where did I get 'em from???

As I get dressed, I'm gonna always (quietly) tell a story. This is why I'm detailed oriented getting dressed. Although YOU just see an outfit put together, I've carefully crafted the lewk. My closet is the lab and I become a scientist with mixing and matching.

I have a collection of Spring Break watches that I enjoy growing. They are affordable and fun to pair with what to wear. I also felt the need to give my apple watch a break and remind myself I can manually tell time. Take a gander with this brand and I'm sure you'll find a match. My Quay aviators were gifted from my bestie, Kim and I wear them to give an outfit a sporty flare. My bracelets came from a small boutique in a small town we visited years ago headed to South Carolina. I color coordinated the bracelets to accent the watch.

There's something about a chuncky chain link bracelet that adds dimension to the look. Worn on its own vs layered so it doesn't overpower the look. This bracelet is from Nordies by St. Moran. Although it's sold out; I got some options for yall under $100 listed here.

The pointy toe flats are old too (of course from Nordies, lol) but no fret, you can find this style flats anywhere. The bone shade compliments the Adidas x Farm Rio shorts (circa 2024) worn under the dress.

The centerpiece of the story was crafted around this balloon top worn as a dress by Terrell Dominick. These are SOLD OUT but I will say...keep an eye out becuz they are so popular they tend to re-appear here n there. The dark denim is heavy but not enough to keep you from wearing it when it's under 85 degrees. It's a great transitional piece to layer and you'd definitely need to wear something under it due to the structure of the dress. When you lift ur arms you give a show if you go all commando!! The dramatic balloon sleeves are the stars for sure. I always get a lot of compliments when wearing this top which is why I strategically style a solid bottom or these peek-a-boo shorts becuz whatever you choose, it's the element of surprise.

Ok, lemme give you what you came for...

This is the debut of my Coffee Bag I've added to my quirky purse collection. It's a simple addition to be the cherry on top of my outfit and soooo fitting for the theme of my Sip Trip. I will be doing a series of these out of the box bags and figured, why not start now! I enjoyed how everything came together using this one.

Another bag option is a clutch or small top handle bag.

At the end of the day, this look was proof that coffee runs don’t have to be casual throwaways—I use my weekends as little moments of self-expression. Mixing oversized denim with a pop of wild print and playful accessories gave me just the right balance of comfort and statement.

Sometimes, all it takes is a bold sleeve, a wink of leopard, and a latte in hand to remind yourself that style is meant to be sipped and savored, one Saturday at a time.
