#Nsale Haul: The Ones That Got Away

There’s a special kind of heartbreak that only a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can deliver—the kind where you’ve already imagined the candlelit moments, the compliments, the strut-worthy entrances with that perfect piece on your arm... only for it to vanish from your cart with a cold, unapologetic SOLD OUT. It’s like falling head over heels for a new love, picturing the future, only to have them ghost you mid-daydream. One minute you’re planning outfits and matching your mood to the aesthetic, and the next, you're left clutching a tracking-less void and whispering, “We could’ve had it all.”

While crafting my wishlist I had two main jackets in mind. This mixed media blazer and this denim jacket:
As a lover of 80's fashion, I strongly had my eye on making this my TOP pick. It reminded me of Eddie Murphy "Raw" and the bold shoulders are right up my alley. I've seen some dupe vest of this style but I had to get a grip! I removed this from my wishlist to allow others to make due of this and hopefully do it some justice. I have no need for another denim jacket and I knew it wouldn't see the light of day as much as I'd like for it to. So back to my Top TWO PICKS:

Everyone raves on Hoka's. I've been lowkey eyeballing 'em since last Summer but never made it a priority becuz I don't invest much into sneakers. To see some at THIS price, I was down!! Unfortunately...so was everyone else :(
WELP!! I had lost out on the MAIN items and I knew a restock would be slim to none. I'd have to pretty much stalk in-store restocks at this point. I had my SA's on the lookout too. Yall...I had to let go n let (Fashion) Gawd so I stopped obsessing and left it in his hands. I literally just went on about life not thinking nothing of it.
Ok, I was thinking bout it. I kept it in my wishlist juuuust in case. By each day, I'd randomly peek in and out hoping to see a restock but to no avail. Big azz reminder of that's what I get for not seizing the moment: SOLD OUT!! Until one night...actually..it wasn't even that late. Before I was ready to peel off the couch n get in the bed, I did a random check for my wishlist and what do ya know...
I had my notes WAITING on this moment. I knew I had to act FAST on these Hoka's and it said ONLY 1 LEFT!! So I hurried to add em in the cart and QUICKLY checked out. Then I doubled back to check on the blazer and OMG...
What are the odds?! This has NEVER happened to me...well..so soon, lol. Even after placing my orders, I didn't get my hopes up. It ain't over...party ain't over. I was anticipating a CANCELLED ORDER due to there being a glitch. Often times, for hot items someone might return to the store but it gets snatched so fast it doesn't update in real time when you order. I said you know what...what will be will be. If it got cancelled I was NOT gonna chase it (again) and take it as a sign to let go!

This is not the shade as shown which I thought was a tinge of pale pink. Yes, the description reads OAT, lol but still. I had these matching my Birks. Nonetheless, it wasn't enough to make me return it. The neutral color makes it more wearable. I grabbed it in my Size...XL so I can layer-I'm not a coat person. What I enjoy is...safely buttoning it up but eventually...I will get it taken IN on the waist so it's not so boxy. I love the mixed media-ness becuz it's not heavy like a coat and gives some dimension and texture with the sweater sleeves.

I am officially a HOKA GAL!!! They are beautiful and yes, I put em on to walk around the house but I gotta really try em out when I go for my 2 hr walks.
This was a hard restock becuz sizes 8-9 are hard to come by during Nsales once they've sold out.
I'm such a lucky giiiiirl
If either one of these orders became a fluke, I would still be grateful to geth either one of two. So for BOTH to arrive-THANK YOU!!! I take nothing for granted. It was a gentle reminder to let go n watch the magic happen as it sees fit. The universe can be quite rewarding if you relax and let it JUST BE!! My Nordy Notes and Gift Cards were used wisely and of course I'll post the looks becuz I'n already thinking of wearing the blazer WITH my Hoka's, lol. Yup! I'm press.
Up next: Part Twaaaah (Trois)
