As Labor Day weekend closed out summer—the season of family reunions, back-to-school routines, and last-minute escapes before the grind of the fiscal year—I’ve found myself reflecting on the highs and hiccups of the past few months. True to form, I’m keeping it simple with my Top 5 this week and breaking it up so I don’t ramble, but each one is rooted in real lessons I’ve had to face this year.
And with that, I’m kicking off Lesson Numma One—a reminder that accountability isn’t optional when purpose is on the line.
Either you want it or you don’t ✨
If this summer has taught me anything, it’s that either you want it or you don’t. I’ve had no shortage of ideas, but without execution, they’re nothing more than fleeting thoughts. For too long, I let myself hide behind “I’ll start Monday” or “I’ll get to it later.” But the truth is, later never comes unless you decide now matters. This season forced me to face the gap between intention and action, and I’m learning that creativity doesn’t grow from excuses—it grows from consistency, discipline, and showing up even when it isn’t perfect.

Accountability isn’t glamorous, but it’s necessary to own your choices. And as I learned, it often clears the path for growth. Incorporating this into my lifestyle has set the tone and become a foundation for the wins and misses alike.
In Lesson Two, I’ll unpack how that growth started to take shape this summer.
