There’s nothing quite like the early-stage daze of a new connection — where your phone lights up, and suddenly your morning alarm doesn’t stand a chance cuz you get lost in phone bone, lol-remember that haha. Lately, I caught myself trading sunrises for slow scrolls and delayed starts. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a little love glow, but not at the expense of my routine. What I refuse to do is let the rhythm I built for myself start skipping beats just because someone new has entered the playlist.

And honestly? I appreciate a friend who called me out before I drifted too far into “relationship autopilot.” Please note: I am nobody's girlfriend...to be clear but it's interesting how I've noticed the shift and had an epiphany on how people who get in relationships can "change" or how easy you can get caught up. Like wow...so this is how it starts! Before you know it, you end up losing track of you while trying to keep pace with we — and that’s a no for me.

So here’s my trick for staying on task without dimming the fun: schedule your spontaneity. Seriously. Carve out blocks for your usual rituals — workouts, sunrise sips, creative time — and let the in-betweens be for those new, exciting chapters unfolding in real time. That way, you’re not ghosting your goals or abandoning your structure in the name of affection. I mean trust me-I get it. Fall is the best time for cuffin and you already coming up with ideas for matchin PJ season, lol. Think of it as keeping your life in rotation: love can have its moment, but your purpose still headlines the show. Balance, baby — that’s the real power move. I've worked way to hard at the life I love and don't want to lose myself for the sake of...ya know!

Because butterflies are cute, but consistency? That’s the real love story. So I’ll take my sunrise and my spark — with a side of structure and, of course, a signature wink. 😉
