A Season Well Spent

August has arrived, and instead of filling my days with endless scrolling and posting, I’m choosing to step back from social media to live fully in the moments that matter most. Mason is preparing to step into his next chapter—college—and I want to soak up every last drop of this summer before the crisp air of Fall ushers in my new season of empty nesting. There are oyster dates to squeeze in after work to enjoy, weekend coffee runs to savor, and quiet family time as we navigate both the joy of new beginnings and the tender weight of recent loss. This month is my chance to slow down enough to truly see, hear, and feel life as it’s happening—without the constant hum of digital noise.

If there’s one thing the past few months have made clear, it’s that “I’ll do it tomorrow” is a risky promise. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and the moments we save for later often slip through our fingers before we realize they’re gone. Whether it’s picking up the phone, making time for a loved one, or catching the last blush of a summer sunset, the time to act is now.

This August, I’m trading the curated feed for real conversations, the staged snapshots for unfiltered memories, and the idea of someday for the fullness of today. Because at the end of it all, the best seasons aren’t just lived—they’re lived well. I'll be solely utilizing my platform here as my creative outlet and still post my Sip Trips. There just won't be an announcement of sorts via social platforms. This allows for organic engagements and relying on JUST my blog alone-which isn't a bad idea. Yall know where to find me ;)

Here’s to living this season like it’s the only one we have—because, in truth, it is.
