June Sip Trip: Missed It by a Sip—But We’re Here!

OMG!! How did yall let me miss the June Sip Trip Roundup's **cue horror scream** but let me keep myself accountable becuz I've been on a roll this year and lately just doing a little bit more has been adding notches of confidence proving to myself I can go the extra mile. Note, I could've easily skipped June altogether but what good would that do depriving yall of such captured content, lol.

June may have flown by in a flash, but the Sip Trips still delivered their usual blend of calm, caffeine, and cozy corners. The month kicked off with a much-needed decluttering weekend—because as an upcoming empty nester; it's time to downsize!

The Lobby Coffee Bar

After wrapping up a spontaneous rendezvous, I was led to a sweet surprise: a new café gem tucked away like it was waiting just for me called The Lobby. There’s something about finding a fresh coffee spot when you least expect it—it feels like a reward for simply showing up. I went looking for coffee flights but it was snatched off the menu upon arrival.

The second half of the month brought all the feels as we packed up and dropped Mason off for his summer college program—a proud mama moment, heavy and hopeful all at once.

And for the finale? I took a solo stroll into the charm-filled streets of Occoquan, VA, where I stumbled upon yet another local coffee spot that instantly felt like a new favorite-Ballywhack Shack Cafe. Sipping slow, soaking in the moment, and honoring a month that quietly shifted the season—and my heart. Better late than never, right? ☕️💛
