July gifted me with four perfect Saturdays, each one a carefully curated escape that reminded me why weekends were invented. From spontaneous roadtrips that led to Buc-ee's discoveries and Chicago adventures, to stumbling upon a waterside coffee haven that felt like my own personal secret. This month proved that the best journeys often happen closest to home for me. Whether sharing laughter with family or savoring the sweet solitude of solo exploration (with a little Nordstrom Anniversary Sale indulgence thrown in for good measure), each Saturday became a masterclass in the luxury of simply being present. Here's how July's weekend coffee chronicles unfolded, one sip at a time.

Did I ever post about that time...we went to..Buc-EE's?? Dang nab it...I'm behind. I post first on my socials but I first learned of this majestic place from my collegue a few years ago so when I learned we'd get one two hours outside of DC, I added it to the bucket list and my boys made it happen. Soon as we arrived I headed straight to the coffee bar where I made an iced caramel latte to be my plus one as I sashay'd about the infamous gas stop!

I found this dress in the quaint town of Occoquan called Urban Posh Boutique. I was there a few weekends prior enjoying my typical Saturday Sip and took a gander into this spot. Once I tried it on...I felt HAPPY n knew I couldn't leave it behind. Wearing this brings a smile to my soul & my attitude embodied the same sentiments as it draped over my love. Young n Fun.

My 2nd weekend of July led me to my 2nd HOME. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicked off and if you've seen my wishlist and what I ended up with via Tik Tok you'd know that umm...yea...don't put off what you can do today for tomorrow!

I am awaiting on ONE more item before I post my full Nordies Haul. I've pretty much went from missing out to lucked IN with a few picks and I'm truly satisfied with this years sale. As an early bird, I appreciated how the stores opened at 0900a vs 1000a and look forward to more empty store time to shop. There's no visit complete without my signature Lavender Chai Latte (w/a splash of blackberry).

Unfortunately, I have nothing to link because well...this look is crafted from pieces over the last few years. The newest is my white Caslon linen blend blouse (which is basic, you can grab it anywhere). The harem pants from an African Boutique inside Potomac Mills Mall n my Kurt Geiger Sandals from a few Summers ago with some bangles here n there pulled my look together for my Nordies run. I was already MAD my wishlist had sold out so I didn't intend on taking off my clothes...but I did, lol. Surprisingly, my mini bag was the extra touch I didn't know I needed: check it out here for less than $10-too cute!

My 3rd Saturday took us on another roadtrip-I know...TWO in ONE month...who do I think I am, lol. We headed to Chi town for the family reunion. No, I didn't do the tourisy things outside of visiting the bean. I'll circle back to partake in downtown and the largest Starbucks in the WORLD!! It was all about family and as long as I have a cup of coffee in my hand-that's bout all that matters.

Bonjour!! LEA French Cafe didn't disappoint. I got my default caramel latte and the pastries were buttery and flakey-delicioso!! I also had the pistachio eclair which was fluffy and divine.

Whether roadtrips or day trips, when it comes to the city...I'm comfy in sneaks!! I packed a light n relaxing outfit for the ocassion. Nothing fancy just practical. I dug out my Kurt Bag from 2 Nsale's ago n remembered why I loved her.

So here we are..the Saturday Sip Trip FINALE!! For the last weekend of the month, I found a hidden gem not far from my home. I grabbed an iced lavender latte from Ballywhack Shack Cafe and proceeded to linger by the water.

What I didn't anticipate was how HOT n humid it was gonna be so early. Nevermind I ignored the fog of my sunglasses when I left out after 0730a, lol. I had to cut my photoshoot short and thanx to the sweat bead I felt run down my back n glasses that kept sliding down my nose-I couldn't do it. I was blindly snapping at some point lol. I hate feeling sticky! I look forward to returning and redoing a better shoot some justice in lighter weather.

I'll skip the formality of the outfit foundationl It's a basic linen blend Caslon (Nordies/NR) I wanted to practice in before next year I invest in a full fledge linen set. My brautiful statement bag was gifted (Thank you Mama Kay) and I'll highlight my fisherman's on my feet at a later time. These shades though: Oversized Cat Eye Frames was the chef's kiss. This look falls in line with my Summer theme and while I'm not a fan of white let alone all white, I felt like a cool breeze n got a few compliments from folks on a morning stroll.

July taught me that the perfect Saturday isn't about the miles traveled or the money spent—it's about showing up fully for whatever the day offers. As we slide into August and summer begins its gentle farewell, I'm carrying these lessons forward, coffee cup in hand and heart wide open to whatever comes next.
