August has been a month of many sips and many stories — some sweet, some bittersweet. Each weekend offered its own little escape, a cup in hand to savor moments both ordinary and memorable whether away or lounging at home. But this August also poured out its share of heartache, and these final sips of summer carry the weight of both joy and goodbye. As I round up the month, I raise one last cup this weekend— a farewell brew to a season that stretched me in ways I never expected.

Transparent Moment: I have pretty much been a zombie for the last 30 days. Operating on pilot mode and running off default mode of my normal routine. I've been enjoying living my life offline this month but with losing two brothers in one month; I'm freefalling at this point. While I appreciate being checked on, I do kinda wanna retreat and self-soothe in a way that allows me to re-gather and push forward in what my tomorrow's will look like.

So here’s to closing the month with quiet gratitude, tender reflections of all that was and what could've been, and the grace I'm giving myself to fully unplug for the finale weekend. The brews may have been plentiful, but it’s the pauses between them that will linger longest. Until the next Sip Trip, I leave this month behind with a farewell brew — steeped in memory, and poured with love.
